My first painting of a robin. This is Flash. He lives near Abergavenny in South East Wales. I’d feed him while having my breakfast. It wasn’t long before he became brave and would eat out of my hand. We had a very special relationship. Time would stand still for me as we shared these very precious and magical moments together. I had to paint a portrait of him. This was a study of a still from a video I took one morning. Oil on paper.
